The answer is as close as the nearest website. And the nearest website is the one you choose to go next. So if you go to bit.ly/whatword you can see the words that people used more than others all over the world.

Another place you can look at is bit.ly/thisword. It gives you more current information as opposed to historical data.
Some things I saw there really surprised me, I'd never search for that. It's an interesting list and if you are into spying on the whole wide web then it's a helpful addition to your arsenal and a tool box.
